A WakeWater Christmas 🎄

When it came to decorating our office for the holiday season this year, we knew we wanted to do something different. As we sat around the office enjoying our daily WakeWaters, trying to come up with an idea, we thought to ourselves: 

Why buy a Christmas tree when we have hundreds of perfectly good WakeWater cans?

It was genius, but with only six weeks until Christmas, we had no time to spare, and set out to create the most beautiful Christmas tree that ever was.  

The first step was easy, we needed to collect as many empty cans as possible, and even with our small team of only six full time employees, it didn't take long to amass a huge collection. 

Before we knew it construction had begun, and slowly but surely, our vision came to life. 

The process seemed simple enough - after preparing our cans by removing the tab and ensuring they were drained of any delicious WakeWater, we would use a hot glue gun to affix them to one another in a circular formation. We would work gradually, creating one layer at a time, starting with the top and working our way down to the base, with each layer gradually increasing in size. 

It only took one layer to realize that this was easier said than done. Trying to glue slick, rounded, aluminum cans to one another was no easy task. It was possible, but meant that the layers would be incredibly fragile - even the smallest impact could be catastrophic. 

There was no turning back though, and layer by layer, we pushed on, working diligently to see our vision through to the end. 

Using more glue than your local woodworker, our layers started to take form, and soon enough we were ready to start stacking. 

150 cans later, our masterpiece was complete. 

Well, almost complete .... What kind of tree would it be without a star and ornaments? 

Much better! 

Truly, a beautiful sight! Now all that's missing is some presents. We've been extra good this year and hope Santa brings us everything we've wished for - a whole lot of WakeWater!
